Palin Endorses Steelman for US Senate

Popular former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) endorsed Sarah Steelman (R) today (press release below). Steelman is running for US Senate in Missouri. If she bests her Republican primary rivals in August, she'll face Claire McCaskill in the November election.

There's no clear leader in Missouri's Republican primary for US Senate; however, the recent "Red Arch" survey by Patch.com found no support for Steelman in the St. Louis area. The Palin endorsement may help her in the region.

We are greatly disappointed that Sarah Palin endorsed Sarah Steelman for the US Senate--BEFORE THE PRIMARY-----We had trusted Sarah Palin's staff/organization to vett candidates before making such a decision.. Both Liberal and conservative organizations have labeled US Rep. Todd Akin as one of the very few truly conservative congressmen. I had thought we could count on "Sarah-Pac" as a safe, well vetted place to put some contributions for conservative candidates, but have found it not be.

I am not impressed by Sarah nor her "endorsement".
She can cry on McCain's shoulder.

@Eleanore,

Yeah. I'm pretty surprised that Steelman got that endorsement. Akin is consistently ranked among the most conservative Congressmen from Missouri. The fact of the matter is that there are no stand-out candidates in the race.

Steelman is as far from a TEA party candidate as Ann Wagner, yet both glom onto TEA party personalities to help them gain TP votes. Sorry, but it won't work for either candidate. Tea Party folks know the real deal and those two are not it.
