Tea Party Pushes Indiana Even Further Right

Polls in Indiana's primary have not yet closed. Conservative Hoosier voters are voting to decide whether or not to retire six-term incumbent Dick Lugar in favor of Tea Party favorite Richard Mourdock. Meanwhile, the presumptive Democrat candidate for US Senate in Indiana, Joe Donnelly, has abandoned any hope of ever being known as Obama's favorite Democrat. With the primary behind him and the clear understanding that Indiana's electorate is to his right on most policy issues, Donnelly has decamped for the hallowed ground of "bipartisanship." Donnelly, who is currently serving in the House of representatives, has joined the chorus of conservatives calling for President Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder to be subpoenaed, reports The Daily Caller:
Indiana Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly told The Daily Caller on Tuesday that he supports the House oversight committee’s efforts to enforce the congressional subpoena of Attorney General Eric Holder over Operation Fast and Furious.
“One of the duties of Congress is to provide oversight of the Executive Branch,” Donnelly told TheDC. “There has been a serious allegation of federal law enforcement misconduct and we need to get to the bottom of this issue without playing partisan politics.”
Thank you to all the tools in Indiana's Democrat base that supported this sellout. Now we might just see an investigation of Fast and Furious and some justice for Eric Holder.

Rep. Allen West Calls for Eric Holders Resignation

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) says he believes Attorney General Eric Holder knew about operation ‘Fast and Furious’ and should resign.

“I think he needs to step down. The president needs to recognize that he (Holder) is failing as the head of the Department of Justice and if the president does not do that, then maybe he’s complicit into what is happening in the Department of Justice,” West said Wednesday.

Video: AG Holder Grilled about Fast and Furious on Capitol Hill

Rep. Darrell Issa discusses Attorney General Eric Holder's testimony and the investigation into the Justice Department's "Operation Fast and Furious". An operation which deliberately let operatives of Mexican drug cartels purchase guns at licensed U.S. firearms dealers and did nothing to intercept the gun purchaser or retrieve the guns even when they were under active surveillance by federal law enforcement officials.

Much more detail at CNS News including this key bit:

Before the operation was ended, however, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by alleged drug cartel operatives in Arizona. Among the 20 individuals indicted as result of Operation Fast and Furious was Jaime Avila. As early as November 2009, federal authorities had had evidence of illegal gun purchases by Avila. Two AK-47s purchased by Avila—with the full knowledge of the ATF in the conduct of Operation Fast and Furious--were found at the scene of Agent Terry’s murder.

Breitbart throws down the Gauntlet

On Sean Hannity's TV show Andrew Breitbart promised AG Eric Holder more videos just before the 2010 election:
And this message is to Attorney General Holder: I want you to know that we have more tapes, it’s not just ACORN, and we’re going to hold out until the next election cycle, or else if you want to do a clean investigation, we will give you the rest of what we have, we will comply with you, we will give you the documentation we have from countless ACORN whistleblowers who want to come forward but are fearful of this organization and the retribution that they fear that this is a dangerous organization.
