No one will ever accuse Joe Biden of taking his job too seriously. The man lacks the mettle to be a heartbeat away from the presidency and that was on display in the Vice-Presidential debate.
I enjoy watching a good train wreck ever now and then, so I'm going to miss Joe Biden come November 7th.
...the Progressive Left, doing the bidding of Claire McCaskill, has decided to poison the well of public opinion with propaganda. Unable to muster actual passion from the community, the Left has decided to use violent imagery from fake letter writing campaigns to sway newspaper readers.
GOP are “thugs” working for the wealthy; “enforcers” for the mega-rich, lots of mafia comparisons are possible.
GOP as terrorists; hostage metaphors are good since they are already prevalent; we should always reinforce the image.
The Republican downgrade or Tea Party downgrade.
GOP as tricksters – Tea Party dupes is a related image.
Bob Burns, a former McCaskill staffer who apparently lost his job for calling Tea Partiers "brownshirts", is involved with the leadership of MOPAG. McCaskill deserves credit for speedily dealing with Burns that first time, but she should also condemn this new, orchestrated propaganda because it's feeding the violent messaging within the union left as well as her own party.
And it appears that Vice President Joe Biden got the Burns's memo, too. While speaking to the AFL-CIO, Biden declared: "you are the only folks keeping the barbarians from the gates."
McCaskill has done well talking to the middle of the political spectrum, but will she walk the talk? It remains to be seen if she will reject MOPAG, Hoffa, and their hateful rhetoric.
That's the subject line of an email I got today from Joe Biden and the rest of it didn't get any more encouraging for Democrats. Let's have a read:

"Malarkey." Is that how the hipsters are talkin' these day? Wow. I've been away from the scene for too long.
I know what you're doing is working because, when I'm on the road or the President's on the road, the crowds are fired up and ready to go. I'm seeing positive signs everywhere, and millions of our supporters -- including tens of thousands who have never voted before in a midterm election -- are voting early.
But we have less than a week left, and we need everyone to dig deep.
Joe's always been a master of subtlety, so if you haven't been able to penetrate his opaqueness, let me clue you in: he wants your money.
Because none of us is alone in this work, Organizing for America is pairing every grassroots donor who gives this week with another individual giving the same amount. All of us want to make an impact in these final five days, and this is a way to double it.
Hah! If you did not find yourself rolling on the floor after that paragraph, you must be either be a leftist or a humorless git. Here's the translation: "Because Moneybags Soros decided to cut us loose we have to create a meaningless incentive for our last minute pledge drive."

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that several Vegas bookies have already retired after a career of betting against Joe Biden.
You're out there week after week, defying expectations. You knock on doors day after day. You make calls night after night.
Um. Joe. Um, not in Union, MO or Festus. Would you like to know where else OFA has gone dark? I don't know if you can handle it. I mean, your job is to rally the troops and that might be hard to do if you knew that the folks in St. Peters weren't pulling their weight.
Someone told me she couldn't believe that Organizing for America was reaching out to 7 million voters this week...
I couldn't either until I remembered all the voterfraud.
...and I told her that she shouldn't be surprised. You don't wait for the moment to come to you, you go out and seize it. Just Tuesday night I was in New York talking with a roomful of volunteers who were making calls and getting out the vote -- and it was a powerful thing to witness.
But we can't let up now.
That's only because you haven't yet begun to fight or something like that.
There are campaign offices out there that need to add extra phone lines because they're packed with volunteers ready to make calls. There are volunteers ready to go canvass, but they need flyers to go door to door. There are kids on college campuses working to get their classmates to vote, and they need our help, too.
I don't want to let any of them down -- not now, not when we're so close.

Really, what could be more pathetic than running a fundraiser around a matching donation when no one stepped up to provide that donation. Veep Dude, it's embarassing.

Unbelievable. They ain't got nothin' left except vice-presidential Joe-mentum to carry them on.
To many Democrats, the accusation by President Obama and other party leaders that foreign money might be bank rolling some pro-Republican political attack ads sounds both compelling and ominous -- but is it fair?
Jane Hamsher, founder of the blog FireDogLake.com, told The Hill in an email Friday that the strategy being employed by the White House as polls show a Republican landslide looming is the wrong way to go.
“Hectoring your supporters doesn't work, and it never has,” Hamsher said. “And anyone with as much campaign experience as Obama and [Vice President] Biden knows that, which is why you never saw them do it in their own races.”
Obama and Biden have in recent weeks repeatedly pressed the voters who propelled them into office in 2008 to get off the sidelines, with Biden going as far as to jokingly, but repeatedly, insult those voters at his rallies.
I got an email Wednesday afternoon saying that Joe Biden was comin' to town. I knew the weather had been unseasonably cool, but I wasn't expecting such an early Christmas. Like most videographers, I know that if Biden is in the house, the tape is rolling—you don't want to miss those twelve seconds of comedy gold that will bring you a million views on YouTube. Glenn Reynolds clearly understands this principal:

Biden's booted blogger was, none other than St Louis Tea Partier: SharpElbowsStL.blogspot.com, but we'll get back to him later.... It was Wednesday afternoon and I had until 3PM to pickup tickets to the event Thursday. I called and emailed some Tea Party friends, but no one was able to get over to Wellston to pickup tickets.
Thursday rolls around. Run some errands and swing by the venue in Wellston: the Police and Fire Training Center. Before finding a place to park, I notice that there's a junk yard right next to the Training Center. That kinda makes sense. They probably burn and shoot stuff at the Police and Fire Training Center, so you wouldn't expect it to be located next to the Chase.
At this point, I'm not expecting to get in, but I need a story. All I know is what KTVI reported (emphasis added):
Vice President Joe Biden will be in St. Louis to discuss how federal money is being used to help create jobs and aid law enforcement. Biden and Gov. Jay Nixon will travel to St. Louis on Thursday. Biden is scheduled to give remarks at the St. Louis County Police and Fire Training Center, beginning at 11:00am
The White House says a limited number of general admission tickets for the public will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The story that never got reported started to form in my head. I didn't have a lot to work with: federal money and flattened cars stacked five high. That equals cash for clunkers in my mind, so I was planning to do a video report in front some destroyed cars. I'd talk about the fallacy of the broken window and explain how accelerating the purchases of cars with cash for clunkers, shifted money away from durable goods, but had no positive effect on the economy as a whole. There will be another time for that economics lesson...
Getting back on topic... the Police and Fire Training Center... I decided to walk in the front door and ask about tickets. They had a whole stack of 'em. I got one, went in, and immediately sent a message to Dana: "I'm in!!!" I then called Sharp and Rambo to tell them that there were still tickets available.
While I waited for them to arrive, I struck up a conversation with a wire service reporter. I can't find her report from the event online. I also met PD reporter Jake Wagman. He described the size of the crowd as "modest" in his report.
Much of that crowd is seen in the picture above. That photo was taken at 10:26AM. Biden did not arrive until 12:16PM. The late arrival meant that I would have to duck out before Biden finished his remarks.
By the time Biden got there, Sharp had been asked to leave. Rambo and I were camped out towards the front, but we were not in seats. As the VP walked in and took to the stage, someone kept asking us to get in our seats. I headed to the back where I got a little video while ATraditionalLifeLived.com shot some video from close to the front:
