Associated Press: Pulling No Punches: Gates Blasts NATO, Questions:
In his last official speech as Pentagon chief, Secretary Robert Gates warns about a 'dim, if not dismal' future for the European-American military alliance and cautions of continental drift.
Bolstering the warning from Gates is news that Norway would scale back it's fighter contingent serving in the Libyan theater of operations from six to just four planes with plans to withdraw completely by August 1st. Significant reforms of the NATO alliance are in order.
