Rand Paul (R-KY) Defends Your 4th Amendment Rights While Harry Reid (D-NV) Tramples Them

On May 25, 2011, Senator Rand Paul responded to Harry Reid's baseless attacks on his opposition to the misnamed "Patriot" Act and reiterated his defense of the Bill of Rights and the American people's privacy.

Rand Paul's offers a strong defense of the 4th Amendment and the need for judicial oversight for search warrants. Make sure you watch to the end.

AlJazeera has an interesting perspective on the signing of Patriot Act extension that won’t likely be found in the US media.

If we value individual rights and civil liberties, we need to elect a lot more Rand Pauls. Unfortunately, Senator Paul is a rare breed.

"Those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither and will lose both." It’s not difficult to understand. But we continue to allow it in increments to the benefit of partisan politics and to the detriment of our individual rights.
