Sharon Barnes, chair of the St. Louis city central committee, served as the temporary chairman of the St. Louis city Republican caucus earlier today. She was nominated to serve as the caucus's chairman, but lost to John Payne. I spoke with Sharon afterwards to get her opinion about how the caucus went.
There were 291 people who participated in the caucus. The Ron Paul slate won with 157 (or 158) votes. I had been told that that slate included Romney delegates too; however, I believe I was misinformed.
