He has lost two statewide races. As for "party unity", throwing out the votes of the Republican base that backed Akin would likely create far more disunity that giving a promotion to a still not well known Lager. There is a lot to like about the guy, but I cannot get excited about this idea.TaxpayerWatchdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15512611417990032692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276040368928521439.post-74362104326310696192012-08-21T08:56:39.271-05:002012-08-21T08:56:39.271-05:00Patriotsoul,

If we're not taking the winner of the race, then we should also consider Steelman. Keep in mind that Steelman isn't from StL (which I think is a plus) and there is value in having a woman face Claire.

I think Brad Lager resets the race in a way that neither Steelman or Brunner can. It's a party unity play.
dsmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01501964533388756254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276040368928521439.post-9303022963365128632012-08-21T08:17:06.367-05:002012-08-21T08:17:06.367-05:00Did not Brunner get the votes?Did not Brunner get the votes?freespeakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484071124659559646noreply@blogger.com
